Release Notes
Version 5.2.0 (01 April 2023)
Enhancements
- Activities
- A new Start in Search Box preference is available for the activity list. If this preference is on, the search box in the upper left of the list will be activated after the list opens or whenever it is refreshed. You can still press CTRL+F to jump to the search as well.
- General
- The Deposit Number and Date fields are now avaialble for use with searches and may be included on user reports and views.
- The Delete Postings window now allows an "(Any)" selection for the Posting Type and Status lists. This enables deleting of more postings without restriction if needed. i.e., turn on Dues, set a "specific amount" of "<> 0" and every non-zero Dues posting will be deleted.
- Several standalone windows that display a list in the top half and details in the bottom half did not resize logically. i.e., when resized, the size of the lower half changed, but the list stayed the same. Now the top half changes when a window is resized and the bottom half remains fixed.
- Groups
- A new Start in Search Box preference is available for the group list. If this preference is on, the search box in the upper left of the list will be activated after the list opens or whenever it is refreshed. You can still press CTRL+F to jump to the search as well.
- Members
- A new Start in Search Box preference is available for the member list. If this preference is on, the search box in the upper left of the list will be activated after the list opens or whenever it is refreshed. You can still press CTRL+F to jump to the search as well.
- Reports
- A new right-click option is available on the User Reports list to export a report definition to a file, and import a report from an export file. This is intended to help in any situation where you need to copy a report from one database to another.
- A new Report preference controls whether the Alt Name is also used to replace the "Name (...)" Smart Field value on user defined Reports and Views. i.e., the "Name (First/Last)" field would show the alt name field from the member record if the preference is on and the alt name has a value.
- Custom Versions
- Any customization installer created for version 5.1.x must be rebuilt for this release (5.2) to be compatible. There is no cost for this, just contact support to get an updated installer.
Problems/Issues Fixed
- The button to save the recipient list to a file on the email window is not working.
- If a record is opened that has multiple addresses and more than one address is marked as Current, an error occurs when the record is saved/closed and the system tries to refresh that record on the membership list. The system should not allow more than one current address at the same time, so these may be left over from a previous version.
- Activity Start and End Date basic criteria incorrectly tried to match based on a date and time value, when they should only use the date.
- If you try to export the membership list to a file that is already open in another program, (i.e., Excel) a more user friendly warning is now displayed instead of a system error.
- The Activity Start Date and End Date advanced criteria fields incorrectly required a time value. The should behave like other date-only criteria and allow specific and relative dates.
- On the import window, if you choose to load a Map file, and then cancel (because you realize it was already loaded), you get a system crash.
- A membership data import is not ignoring fields where the import file does not contain a value for the field (i.e., left blank), and is also not consistently honoring the "=CLEAR" directive to clear an existing field that has a value.
- If the hosting server password (for a remote connection) is changed from the Login window, the new password works once, then doesn't work the next time.
- A long delay sometimes occurs when opening the search window.
- If a customized database is deleted and then an older version is restored, the system does not know that the customization changes have not been applied because that information was stored in the registry. Custom version information is now stored in the database so the system "knows" whether a database has been customized as soon as it is restored.
- Activity dropdowns that include the activity start date next to the activity should show a blank space rather than show "(Not Set)" if no date is available.
- Time fields (i.e., Attendance Start Time) export incorrectly from a View as complete date-time values. (5.2.0.1)
